The successful development of aquaculture depends on the use of a common language and standardization of terminology. This publication, validated by international experts, contains over 2 500 terms and includes definitions, information sources, synonyms and related terms, in Arabic, Chinese, English, French and Spanish. This glossary is for experts and scientists involved in aquaculture research and development, and also for technicians, developers, consultants and users from other disciplines, such as agriculturists, economists, engineers, environmentalists and policy-makers. It is published both in hard copy, and on the accompanying CD-ROM.
